Over the past several months, we have been working to improve the way we provide care, communicate with you, schedule appointments, and make information about our services easier to access. Some of these changes involve new technology, so there may be a short adjustment period — our goal is to make interacting with our office simpler and more reliable.

A new electronic medical record and patient portal.
Over the past several months, we have been testing several electronic medical record systems to determine which system best fits our practice and our patients. We have decided to transition to Elation Health as our new electronic medical record.
This means you will have a new patient portal and new login for accessing information through Elation. Going forward, Elation will become our primary medical record and patient portal.
Your previous medical records are not disappearing. Your historical records will remain available through our previous Athena system, and you will continue to have access to the Athena patient portal for that information. During the transition, some information may temporarily exist in both systems.
New Communication System
Spruce Health.
We have experienced ongoing reliability issues with our previous patient communication system. Because timely and secure communication is so important, we are transitioning to Spruce Health for patient communications.
Spruce provides a more organized and secure way for our office and patients to communicate. Please begin using Spruce once you receive your invitation or create your account using the link above.
We appreciate your patience while our staff and patients transition to the new platform.
A Major Improvement
Online appointment scheduling is now available.
Rather than having to call the office for every appointment, you can view available appointments and select a time that works for you directly through our website — see our full list of appointment types to get started.
Some specialized, procedural, or complex appointments may still require assistance from our staff so that we can schedule the appropriate amount of time.

Our practice has expanded considerably beyond traditional primary care. Changes to routine office services.
For many years, I have tried to provide an unusually high level of access and additional services to virtually everyone in the practice.
Effective October 1, 2026, routine insurance-based appointments will need to remain focused on the medical problems appropriate for the appointment that has been scheduled. Annual physicals and wellness visits will primarily address preventive care and ongoing chronic medical conditions. Multiple new concerns, complex problems, procedures, extended consultations, or additional services may require a separate appointment.
Certain enhanced services, including extended appointments and additional access to Dr. Reedy, will continue to be available through our membership/concierge program.
Our goal is to make sure that we schedule adequate time for each patient’s needs while allowing the office to remain accessible to all of our patients.

A note about insurance & Medicare.
We participate with Medicare and many major insurance plans. However, participation with an insurance company does not necessarily mean that Dr. Reedy or our practice participates with every individual plan offered by that insurance company.
This is particularly important with HMO plans, Medicare Advantage plans, employer-specific plans, and other insurance products that may have restricted or “carved-out” provider networks.
It is the patient’s responsibility to verify directly with their insurance company that Bradley J. Reedy, DO and the office location where they are receiving care are participating providers under their specific insurance plan. Please do not rely solely on the name of the insurance company or on the fact that we participate with another plan offered by the same carrier.
If your particular insurance plan considers Dr. Reedy or the practice out-of-network, you will be responsible for the charges for services provided. We can provide appropriate billing documentation that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement according to your out-of-network benefits. Reimbursement is determined by your individual insurance plan and cannot be guaranteed by our office.

There are a lot of changes occurring at once, but they are being made with a purpose. We are improving our medical record system, replacing an unreliable communication platform, expanding online scheduling, improving our website and patient education resources, and continuing to expand the services available through the practice.
At the same time, I want to preserve something that has always been very important to me: providing thoughtful, personal medical care and maintaining long-term relationships with my patients.
